I love this easy-to-make herb-infused oil for dry skin. This dry skin remedy can be used every night before bed, simply massage into the skin and allow it to soak in all night for soft skin all winter long. Infused with lavender and calendula, I add vitamin E, frankincense essential oil, and sandalwood essential oil to moisturize.

This oil will leave your skin feeling soft all winter long. It incorporates folk remedies for dry skin but also herbs that have been proven to moisturize the skin. Start by picking a base oil or carrier oil. Personally, for skin I love using sweet almond oil but some people like olive oil, and coconut oil. You can try different oils and see which one feels the best on your skin. Next, add some dried lavender and lavender is proven to moisturize the skin, some calendula which is excellent for the skin and it's excellent for healing the skin and some mugwort and the reason behind adding mugwort is because it helps to absorb anything into the skin. Pour the herbs into a crockpot, then add in the carrier oil. Let it sit and infuse for a couple (2-3) hours. When it's done, strain it into a mason jar. I like to add some frankincense and sandalwood essential oils, along with vitamin E. Close the mason jar and shake it. Put it into a bottle or jar of your choice. Massage it into your skin every night
