Golden milk, also known as turmeric milk, is made by mixing non-homogenized cows milk with turmeric and cardamom. You can also add any other herbs you'd like. Turmeric is not very easily absorbed through digestion, however the bacteria in the cows milk line the gut making it easier to absorb. Adding cardamom and warming the milk reduces the inflammation caused by dairy.
Some of the benefits of turmeric and curcumin include:
Anti-inflammatory properties: Curcumin has potent anti-inflammatory effects, making it a useful ingredient for managing conditions such as arthritis and digestive issues.
Antioxidant benefits: Curcumin has strong antioxidant properties, which can help to protect cells from damage and reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
Cognitive function: Studies have shown that Curcumin may improve cognitive function, particularly in older adults.
Heart health: Curcumin has been shown to have a positive impact on heart health, reducing the risk of heart disease by improving cholesterol levels and reducing stress.
