Hair loss and greying can generally be an indicator of excess vata or pitta in the system. So you want to use things that are cooling and moisturizing. Here’s what I’m putting in my hair mask these days.
To make it (watch the video for portions) :
1. Put some aloe gel into yogurt
2. Add rose water
3. Add oil. I like to use olive oil but you can also use coconut oil and avocado oil
4. Add some shikaki, brahmi and neem
5. Mix it and put it in your hair!
I use this 2-3 times a week for at least 30 minutes (but usually ends up being a couple hours). No need for a hair conditioner anymore!
Cardamom is a digestive aid that improves the digestion of dairy products. It helps soothe the digestive system and relieve symptoms of digestive discomfort, such as bloating, gas, and indigestion caused by dairy.
Dairy can be difficult for some people to digest because it's a heavy and mucus-forming food. This can lead to the buildup of Ama, which is a toxic substance that can cause digestive issues. Cardamom helps break down Ama and improve the overall digestion of dairy.
Cardamom works by increasing the production of digestive enzymes, which are essential for breaking down food and absorbing nutrients. The essential oils in cardamom have antimicrobial and antispasmodic properties, which stops bacteria from growing and causing diseases, helps to reduce inflammation and soothes the digestive system.
Want healthier hair naturally? Here is my favourite essential oil remedy for thicker hair the prevents hair loss and hair fall. It contains essential oils that stimulate and moisturize the scalp.
Winter is a very dry season, your hair starts to become dry and brittle, so it falls out and becomes thin. This hair oil is the perfect thing to combat the dryness of winter.
Start by choosing a carrier oil. I like to use jojoba oil, but you can use aragon oil, castor oil, grapeseed oil, olive oil. Experiment and see which oil works best with your scalp.
Next, add some essential oils that stimulate the scalp. Some of my favourites are:
- Peppermint. Peppermint is a wonderful stimulant for the scalp, it helps treat dandruff, and reduces inflammation.
- Grapefruit. Grapefruit is also a great stimulant, and smells really good as well.
- Lavender. Lavender has many benefits, it treats dandruff and moisturizes the scalp. It has also been proven to increase the number of hair...

To make the chai, fill up a cup over halfway with water, and then add milk on top. Pour the mixture into a pot. In a mortar and pestle, crush up some black pepper, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon. Throw the crushed herbs into the pot with the mixture. Add a pinch of dried holy basil, and then some fresh ginger. Turn on the stove, and when the chai is about to boil, add some black tea. Turn the stove down and then back up to a boil. Repeat this several times. Once it is done, strain it and drink it.
